The first discipleship school in our movement of churches was launched in 1987 by Jimmy and Laura Seibert at Highland Baptist Church in Waco, TX. The schools were birthed out of the question: "What if the local church was the center for training believers to be sent into their spheres of influence and the nations of the earth to own the process of local and global evangelization and discipleship?"
The Antioch Discipleship Training, or ADT for short, exists to be just that for the local church here in Boone. ADT is a 28 week training where you will discover how to become a lifelong disciple of Jesus that makes disciple-making disciples.

Nine months of intensive spiritual formation and discipleship to engage our heads, transform our hearts, and use our hands for the Lord.
Important Info & Dates
When: Wednesdays, 5:45 PM – 7:45 PM (Aug 26 – May 12)
Includes a weekly shared meal
Breaks: Nov 25, Dec 23, Dec 30 (plus heavy snow days)
Where: Smith Home (near Brown's Chapel Rd) & The HUB
Cost: $600 tuition (out-of-pocket; alumni/prior training discounts available)
Key Commitments
Weekly Rhythms: Wednesday gatherings & 12 Discovery Bible Study (DBS) small group sessions.
Required Retreats & Trips:
Local Campout: Sept 18–19 (within 1 hr)
2 NC Weekend Trips: Fall & Spring (fundraisable, ~$200 each)
Global Mission Trip: 10–14 days at the end of the course (fundraisable, $2,500–$3,000)
Outreach & Prep: Monthly Super Souper Sundays (4th Sunday), Tuesday morning trip prayer calls (Jan 5+), and Jan 24 team event.
Church Engagement: Serve monthly at Antioch Boone; participate in corporate fasts and World Mandate.
